Multi-Sile Lactobacillus buchneri (L. Buchneri or LB) Inoculant
Lactobacillus buchneri has been demonstrated to improve aerobic stability of silages by reducing yeast growths. The result is that silages inoculated with L. buchneri are more resistant to heating at feed out as compared to untreated silages. The benefit of using LB versus a regular inoculant is the aerobic stability. They elevate concentrations of acetic acid and have lower levels of lactic acid than untreated controls. L. Buchneri inoculants work best of corn silage, small grains and hi-moisture corn.
