Baled Hay with Inoculant Temperature Results
This is testing done on 2nd crop big bales. The following hay was baled around on July 3rd. The probe was taken July 7th, at the peak of fermentation. Here are the findings: Baled hay should never be allowed to raise more than 20* above the temperature that the hay was baled at. This hay was baled on a 90*F day. The temperature of the bales never rose more than 15*.
